  1. Balancing Act (2020-)

Balancing Act explores the many expressions of equilibrium that surface in the fabric of everyday life. Composed of images drawn from my photographic archive, the series brings together domestic and urban scenes, gestures of balance both actual and symbolic. Each photograph marks a moment of poised attention, a negotiation between stillness and movement, order and chance, gravity and release.

These images celebrate balance as a living, unfolding process, a rhythm of tension and release that flows through all things. Informed by Buddhist ideas of interdependence, the work approaches balance as a dynamic relationship between opposites, each side arising only through the other, each gesture containing its countergesture. Within this field of reciprocity, the act of balancing becomes a quiet meditation on impermanence and trust.

In this sense, balance is not something to be achieved, but something to be lived, an openness to the natural order of things, where stillness and movement coexist in effortless harmony.  It is an invitation to perceive balance not as control, but as surrender to the movement of life, the still point at the heart of change.

In the end, life is just a constant balancing act.
