  1.  Alexis Vasilikos (b. 1977) studied photography at FOCUS and AKTO in Athens and Art History at D.A.M.S. University in Bologna, Italy. His work explores a broad spectrum of imagery, ranging from peripatetic photography to abstract photography and meta-photography. Deeply influenced by Eastern mysticism, particularly Advaita Vedanta and Zen Buddhism, his practice focuses on the meditative and transcendental aspects of image-making.

    He has exhibited his work in solo shows at CAN Christina Androulidaki Gallery, Athens (2016, 2019, 2025), PS:, Athens (2023), and MYLOS, Thessaloniki (2003), and participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the Hole, New York (2025); Mahala, Leros (2024); Vantage Point, Sharjah, UAE (2022); Thessaloniki Museum of Photography (2004, 2021); Undercurrent, New York (2021); Benaki Museum, Athens (2018, 2020); Helsinki Photo Festival (2020); MOMus Experimental Center for the Arts, Thessaloniki (2019); Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete (2019); KK Outlet, London (2015, 2018); SHED, London (2017); Krakow Photomonth, Krakow (2016); Athens Photo Festival (2016, 2020); Kappatos Gallery, Athens (2016); Viaduct Gallery, Des Moines, Iowa (2014); Austin Center for Photography, Austin, Texas (2014); and Signal Gallery, New York (2013), among others.

    His work has been featured in British Journal of Photography, New York Times, Der Greif, C-41, Fisheye, Oxford American, Lamono, L’Oeil de la Photographie, Ignant, and Paper Journal, among others. Since 2012, he has co-edited Phases Magazine, an online platform dedicated to contemporary fine art photography. He is represented by CAN Christina Androulidaki Gallery.
