Alexis Vasilikos (b. 1977) studied photography at FOCUS and AKTO in Athens and Art History at D.A.M.S. in Bologna, Italy. His work spans a broad spectrum of imagery, from peripatetic and abstract photography to meta-photography. Deeply influenced by Eastern mysticism, -particularly Advaita Vedanta and Zen Buddhism- his practice centers on the meditative and transcendental dimensions of image-making. Since 2012, he has been the co-editor of Phases Magazine, an online platform dedicated to contemporary fine art photography. He is represented by CAN Christina Androulidaki Gallery.
